Sehnsucht

Daydreaming about desires

Desire – a feeling as if one were living dreamily in yesterday’s world and at the same time questioning the future, searching for what fulfils or connects one, comparable to the feeling of home, the feeling of a unique origin.

The term “longing” is difficult to assign to a clear definition. The four musicians are aware of this and give their longing a sound that lets the various facets of the saxophone resound and additionally merges them with the poetry of the word. The poems used, written in the three national languages of South Tyrol, are by two renowned South Tyrolean authors, Bertrand Huber and Marco Forni.

The audience will be taken on a journey through the 20th and 21st centuries with selected works.

The “SAGS Quartett” is keen to take the audience on an exciting journey through the various emotional states of longing. Because when wood meets gold and poetry meets music, new images are created in the mind and strong feelings in the heart!
